Lusitana

Lusitana Collection is inspired by the name of one of the most pretigious fado places in Lisbon, Café Luso, considered by the artist the “fado cathedral”.

In the mid 1940s, thanks to the intervention of José Melo, Amália Rodrigues starts to sing in Cafe Luso, with payments never payed before to a fado singer.

In 1955 she recorded a live album called “Amália in Café Luso”, the most revolutionary at the time.
